We cordially welcome you to Euroson 2017 taking place in the midst of Europe in charming Ljubljana. This year, the congress is being organized by the Turkish Society of Ultrasound (TUD) together with EFSUMB.

In accordance with the EFSUMB's motto "Building a European Ultrasound Community”, the congress will create a vibrant, interdisciplinary meeting place for students, doctors, engineers, professors, sonographers, industry and all stakeholders of ultrasound.

The Congress will be running in 5 main halls with a compact and intense educational content. It will focus on new developments in science and education and renowned speakers from all across Europe will provide state-of-the-art lectures and live demonstrations. The Ultrasound Learning Center (ULC) is the key location for hands-on training where students and young doctors can experience supervision and guidance from scanning experts in various fields. A dedicated student program will enhance the training outcome for young students, enabling a good start to their future careers. Ultrasound is not only a diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic tool, but it is also an excellent pedagogic tool.

Ultrasonography is crucial for correct diagnosis and treatment of many patients, and the doctors base much of their clinical decisions on information provided by scans. Interventions and ultrasound-directed therapies are also increasingly employed to promote personalized therapy. EFSUMB is a major contributor of new clinical guidelines and recommendations, and many of these will be presented at the congress.
